Naming your struggles out loud takes guts. We respect that.
When you show up, others do too. Your commitment is contagious.
Post your actual work — a photo, video, or voice note. Day-stamped. Honest. It doesn't have to be perfect. It has to be real.
Missed days happen. The people who come back and keep going are why this community exists. Celebrate the return, not just the streak.
Saying "today was hard" is accountability too. This is not a highlight reel. Everyone here is learning.
A comment that says "Day 12, keep going" costs nothing and means everything. Be the community you want to have.
No attacking, mocking, threatening, or targeting any person — publicly or in DMs. Disagreement is fine. Cruelty isn't.
No content that dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
No content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous behaviors. If you're struggling, we want to help — not amplify it. Posting content that mentions self-harm triggers a 988 referral automatically.
Don't post proof that isn't yours or isn't real. This community is built on integrity. Faking it breaks everyone's trust.
No sexually explicit or suggestive content. This is a habit app, minimum age 13.
No unsolicited commercial messages, affiliate links, or off-topic promotion. Build your habit here. Sell it somewhere else.
Don't pretend to be someone you're not — another user, a public figure, or accountability. staff.
Nothing that violates applicable law — including content that infringes copyright or depicts illegal activity.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Depending on severity, we may:
Severe violations — especially anything involving minors, threats of violence, or self-harm promotion — result in immediate removal with no warning.
You can report any post, comment, or account from within the app. We take every report seriously.
This community is for people doing hard things. If you're going through something harder than a missed workout, we want you to get real support.
The app will automatically surface these resources if your content suggests you may be in crisis.

ACE's responses are generated by AI and are not professional medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. Apply your own judgment and consult a licensed professional for decisions that require expert guidance. The 988 resource referral is an automated safety feature, not a clinical assessment.

Data is kept while your account is active. On deletion, your profile, goals, posts, and proof content are removed within 30 days. Aggregated analytics are retained. Backups purge within 90 days.
We use HTTPS/TLS, Supabase row-level security, and server-side API key management. No internet transmission is 100% secure. We will notify users of any breach as required by applicable law.
We will update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and accountability. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use accountability. By creating an account, you confirm you are 13 or older. Users aged 13–17 confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on their behalf. We may terminate accounts where the holder is discovered to be under 13.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and notify us immediately at support@ouraccountability.app if you suspect unauthorized access. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account.
You retain ownership of all content you post, upload, or submit ("User Content"), including photos, videos, voice recordings, posts, comments, and messages.
By posting User Content, you grant accountability. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, distribute, and reproduce that content solely to operate and improve the app. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
You agree not to post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violent, harassing, hateful, impersonating, spam, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights. See our Community Guidelines for full detail.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards.
By using ACE, you acknowledge that:
Unlimited self-built goals, the proof feed, streaks, pod browsing, one accountability partner, and the full ACE experience on your first ACE-built goal (up to 45 days) are free.
Includes unlimited ACE, unlimited partners, and pod creation/joining.
The app — including its design, wordmark ("accountability."), gradient system, ACE personas, and all original content we create — is owned by accountability. and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You agree not to attempt unauthorized access, use bots or scrapers, reverse engineer the app, send spam, collect other users' data without consent, or use the app in violation of any applicable law.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACCOUNTABILITY. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may terminate by deleting your account. Sections 4, 7, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by US law. Disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, not class actions, except where prohibited by law. Contact support@ouraccountability.app before initiating any legal proceeding.
These Terms are between you and accountability., not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
We will update the "Last updated" date when these Terms change. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
